Our mission is to make the excellence and global competencies in the commerce department.To Emphasis leadership qualities and employability skills among the students community.To enhance the students to suit global business and professional practices through knowledge of digitalization.To motivate the students to involve in research oriented activities.

About the Department

The department of Commerce is one the pioneering departments stared in the academic year 2015-2016, with 48 enthusiastic students. Subsequently, every year the department is running with full strength of the students sanction by the Thiruvalluvar University. The Department providing high quality of Education in the field of Commerce, Research methodology and information technology by a team of faculty members with social responsibility.

Course offered

Department offer under graduation course B.Com General w.e.f 2015-2016 approved by Affiliated with Thiruvalluvar University. In the year 2021-2022 for first year UG students run by Affiliated Annamalai University. The department also under going P.hD part time in Commerce section from January2018.Department always achieved centum result through the years. The department of Commerce have a commendable number of text books and Commerce, Accountancy written by a honor Authors as approval by the University.

Association Activities

The department of Commerce has an Association St.Ann’s Association of Commerce (SAACOMM). It conducts International and National conference, workshops, seminars, paper presentations and exhibition for every year to improve the skills and knowledge of the students. The department conducts add on courses like personal development courses, Tally with new version and digital Marketing for the development knowledge of the students.The staff also participated in Entrepreneur Development Programme Hub with Annamalai Univeristy,Chidamparam and implemented it to the students.The students also are allowed to participate talent full competitions conducted by other colleges. The department conduct every year Industrial Visit under the scheme of extension activities .The department also to gives an opportunity to the students for practice sports activities as well as other curriculum activities to enable them to acquire more knowledge and en-shine in society.

Our department organized one day national Workshop on Employability Skills on 23.04.2022 integrated with Training Indian Potential skills Academy , Vellore. Resource person N.S Vijayganesh- Director TIPS Academy, Vellore.( Certified soft skill trainer).
